    i bought a gamo varmint hunter from a local gunshop about 2 years ago it worked fine up untill this summer of 2010 . when the trigger for some mechanical reason just stopped working it wont reset its self to fire the next round after cocking the next round . so i went to the gamo website to see what its gonna take to get it fixed .

    they claim if its a mechanical maulfunction they will repair it for free but i must pay to shipp it there and back home thats fine by me . but if they determin that it was caused the fault of the owners mishandling then they will fix it for a rate of $40 per hour . in the way i see it the trigger should have not went bad that soon i only fired it about 1000 times over all i was and still am very disapionted with the trigger going bad .

    the gun is beautiful looking but i was also disappionted with the fact gun is rated to shoot at 1000 fps and it barely had any kick to it at all . compared to my daisy powerline thats rated at 1000 fps has alot of kick and is louder when it fires . i shot gamo vermint hunter pellets they are 1.77 cal. and have a small bb inbedded in the front of it the daisy powerline could shoot right through the back of a floresent light fixture made of metal .

    using the same gamo rounds i with the gamo vermint hunter could not shoot through the same metal plate then i switched to the the gamo PBA rounds suppost to be 1200 fps and it did not go through either . so that lead me to beleive that that the varmint hunter was weaker than 1000 fps or that it must be that the daisy power line is 1100 to 1200 fps with lead ammo but the package said that the powerline was 1000 fps .

    so why is there such a differance between the 2 guns that are rated at a 1000 fps because of the trigger going bad and the lack of power of the gamo . vermint hunter im very scared in investing any money in to buying any gamo products from here on out from now on im gonna blog my reserch befor buy any thing from gamo . i had to send the dasiy powerline back and i never had to pay a dime they fixed it and sent it back i even called them and spoke to them about the problem . not with gamo they have no place to call to address customer problems and the are located there in spain and they only corespond VIA Email .
